1980, Silicon Valley. Tony, with his wild hair, was parading around Stanford campus holding a large banner that read "The Future is AI!"

Tony: (to passing students) "Folks! AI will rule the world! Be prepared!"

Student 1: (whispering to a friend) "Did he say AIDS? Scary..."

Undeterred, Tony headed to a computer science professor's office.

Tony: "Professor, I want to research AI with you!"

Disappointed, Tony went to a local electronics store. He decided to build his own AI.

 
교수: (8비트 게임을 하며) "AI? 얘야, 그건 공상 과학 영화나 나오는 거야. 현실적인 걸 공부해." 실망한 토니는 근처 전자상가로 갔다. 그는 자신만의 AI를 만들기로 결심했다.

 

 

A month later, in Tony's dorm room.

Roommate: (opening the door) "Aaaah! What's this?" Tony: (amidst a mess of wires and circuits) "Meet my AI friend, HAL9000!" HAL9000: (smoking) "Hel...lo... To...ny..." Roommate: "I'm calling the fire department."

Unable to curb Tony's AI enthusiasm, his roommate decided to make an example of him.

Roommate: (to the whole class) "Folks, this is what happens when you study AI. Please study something practical."

The class promptly buried themselves in database and spreadsheet studies.

Meanwhile, at the campus job fair.

Recruiter: "What's your specialty?"

Tony: "AI! Everything will be AI in the future!" Recruiter: (with pitying eyes) "Um... interested in a security guard position at our company?"

On graduation day, Tony brought his final invention to a tech fair.

Tony: "This is the future AI assistant! Her name is Siri... no, TZ!" Visitors: (excitedly taking notes on their phones) "Wow, what an innovative idea!"

Tony: (reading a newspaper) "TGDOT's AGI, voice recognition AI assistant launched..." Waiter: "Ready to order?"

Tony: (sighing) "One iced Americano, please.
Not made by an AI, if possible."

 

30년 후, 실리콘 밸리의 한 카페에서. 토니: (신문을 읽으며) "TGDOT의 AGI, 음성인식 AI 비서 출시..." 웨이터: "주문하시겠습니까?" 토니: (한숨 쉬며) "아이스 아메리카노 하나 주세요. 가능하다면 AI가 만들지 않은 걸로요."
